Miss Seat Belt
According to wikipedia, there was a lot of resistance to the introduction of seat belts, and it was only around the 1960s that they began to be promoted in earnest. In 1966 "Congress passed the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, requiring all automobiles to comply with certain safety standards" (such as seat belts). So it makes sense that it was in the 1960s that we first find various young women being crowned "Miss Seat Belt."
