Sings “Henry VIII I Am” 1001 times
The song "I'm Henry VIII, I Am" was a 1910 British music hall song. It became known to American audiences in 1965 when Herman's Hermits released a version of it as a single. The song then inspired 17-year-old Jeff Newburg to sing it 1001 times while standing on the roof of a drive-in restaurant. Wilmington News Journal - July 19, 1965 The song clearly lends itself to repeat singing. I found another example of this in the anecdote below from the song's YouTube comments: I work as an EMT... had a call for an intoxicated patient four years ago.... guy was singing this at the TOP OF HIS LUNGS in the back of my ambulance. Made for a very interesting trip to the hospital... we still pick this patient up on occasion and he is now known as "Henry VIII" among the staff and yes, he did the spelling out Henry also, slamming his foot on the stretcher for each letter....until we had to yell at him to stop doing that.
