The Durham Force Field
Dec 1975: When trying to park in a space in the newly built car park near the Durham Market Place (in the UK), housewife Dilys Cant found that some kind of "impregnable force field" prevented her. Other drivers experienced the same thing. Strangely, no one seemed to have a problem walking into the space. It was only cars that couldn't enter. However, council officials later investigated and were able to pull into the space with no trouble. Must have been some kind of temporary glitch in the matrix.
