We ask you: what are your fondest memories of the late Norman Tebbit?

YET another member of the beloved Thatcher cabinet we grew up with has passed on. How will you remember Norman Tebbit?

Sue Traherne, compositor: “Heseltine had the looks, Geoffrey Howe had the style, but Norman Tebbit stood at the back glowering darkly, letting you know they meant business. Very much the Brian Harvey of the group.”

Julian Cook, commodities broker: “He was right about mining. Dirty business. I’m glad I took his advice, cycled 168 miles from Ebbw Vale to London, and got a City job earning eight million a year.”

Donna Sheridan, sommelier: “How many of them have to go before we can give up on Thatcherism? Are we waiting on Douglas Hurd?”

Roy Hobbs, fishmonger: “I’ve amended his proposal of a Cricket Test and have ever since considered anyone English who supports cricket is a wanker. A rule to live by.”

Francesca Johnson, medium: “His immortal spirit lives on in Iain Duncan Smith. I mean that literally, he’s the current host body.”
