A scientific study of women’s legs

March 1968: Dr. Martin Cole, a researcher at Aston University in Birmingham, announced that he would be conducting a study of women's legs. His research would involve taking photographs of over a thousand pairs of legs. He hoped to determine, "whether upper-class women have shapelier legs than working-class women." Although Dr. Cole's intention to conduct this research was widely reported, I haven't been able to find any of his final results. I suspect he never published any.
