Raining Cress Seeds
Feb. 12, 1979: Roland (or Rowland) Moody of Southampton discovered that mustard and cress seeds had rained down on his yard and that of his neighbors. The next day it rained maize, peas, and broad beans. Moody planted some of the seeds and reported that he had a very good crop. To my knowledge, the source of these seeds from the sky (whether they were a prank or a freak weather phenomena) remains unknown. London Daily Mirror - Feb 19, 1979 Moody was interviewed for an episode of Arthur C. Clarke's Mysterious World that aired in 1980. You can watch it below. Moody's interview is near the end, beginning at 22:36.
